Stuff and Things

But How

“Be soft. Don’t let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let bitterness steal your sweetness.” ~Kurt Vonnegut

But how do you stay soft, exactly?

When it feels like the world has betrayed you and robbed you of your life, how do you not let that pain make you numb and closed off?

When your body is screaming at you that every part of it is in pain, how do you not hate your self, your illness, your life?

When you can physically feel the emotional effects of your illness, how do you not become a grouchy and exhausted human being?
